Hello everyone! Help (if you want to!) I'm Dani (my middle name, but some don't use it...) and I... have a problem.

I am a pack rat. ADHD being undiagnosed as "just being quirky!" or eccentric! or just 'distracted', a space case, has left me uh. buried in Stuff. Because every new thing was OOH EXCITING! PRETTY! I KNOW EXACTLY WHAT I'D USE THIS FOR!!! ......... and into an inevitable box it went. I've been here a year and just found the box of cards that I KNEW I had... sort of... didn't I buy a cool constellation themed notecard set? ... ... that could have been two months ago... or maybe I'm remembering three years ago, when I bought this other set, too...

Yeah, apparently those are big major signs of ADHD-inattentive. ADHD-impulsive types just get more notice, especially in white men. Everyone else gets branded as "just not paying attention" and "not reaching full potential." Or just bad, destructive. Maybe even bipolar since some have swings of "OOH SHINY" to unstable emotional reactions. A key for inattentive type is... lots of Stuff that you keep somehow forgetting you own. Now that I know what my problem is, I can stop acquiring and start doing things to help myself.

Like sending out swaps on here! <3 We all probably have SOMETHING in common, right? Let's try to find it and chat about why you like a thing or activity, maybe even trade ideas.

US Version - Penpals Wanted! - 3 Partners

  • Pick a prompt or two and maybe even think about 1 thing in common on your partners' profile
  • Write it down. Could be notebook paper, a larger notecard (think 5x7 approx.), even typed and printed (especially friendly when 14-16pt Arial font is used, since it doesn't have serifs + is available on free software, too.)
  • Send it out!
  • Check back if there isn't a rating in ~3 weeks. USPS has been incredibly slow since they now have to sort everything by hand, like it's the 1950s again. If there isn't a rating in ~3 weeks, ask your partner if it was mailed out. Wait 1 more week, especially if snow is in your area.
  • Please rate when you receive something!
  • Yes, I will angel after you communicate with your partner. Just include me on messaging! <3

The Prompts: - Favourite hobby + how you got into it - Do you have a pet? What's their personality? - What got you to join Swap-bot? Do you post on IG? - Do you know cursive writing? Do you actually use it? - What country or place would you love to visit? - Do you have plans this season, or some coming up for Summer?
