I happened to see this on Pinterest recently and thought it looked like a fun and easy project that would work great in a junk journal or just a little stand alone piece. I made one for myself to get an idea of the process involved, and it was pretty simple. I added a piece of clear acetate on the inside of my "window", which you can do or not. My finished pocket was 4 x 4 1/2, a bit different in dimensions to the one pictured here which is more of a rectangular shape. So you will make one pocket with a "window" out of whatever decorative paper or card stock you like. You will then make a journal card to slip inside and decorate both pieces in whatever theme you prefer. I like the idea of adding a tab to the card so it's easy to slip in and out. I also made my pocket so that, when the card was pulled out, there was still a decorative backing to the inside of the pocket rather than just plain paper. Please let me know if you have any questions and I'll be happy to try to answer them for you. Hope you will sign up for this one and have some fun creating something a bit different! |
