For this swap, you will make your partner 2 Halloween themed specimen cards that can be added as tuck-ins in your junk journals. A specimen card is a double sided flat card that has a window cut into it with some type of image shown in the window. Both sides need to be decorated. The size of the cards can vary, but should be no smaller than 2" x 3 or larger than 3" x 5". Windows can be any size Listed below are a few youtube videos that I found were very helpful in the making of the cards. Pretty much, the film and image for the window must be sandwiched in between the two sheets of paper. The plastic you use must be ridged - please do not use cellophane or plastic wrap. You can laminate if you want, but that is not required. The style for the specimen cards is distressed vintage. They should be on the darker side, think skulls, spiders, snakes, insects Here are the youtube videos - sorry, you will have to cut and paste. https://youtu.be/AQ-RCH5_lLU https://youtu.be/Gsuh3v-3QZ0 You can make it this flip style too! https://youtu.be/dNR4D1nJd6M Please send your two specimen cards inside of another card to protect them in shipping. Try to keep them flat, they should hopefully not cost more than 78 cents to mail. Image - found on etsy, not my own |
