Hi swappers! Let's follow Roxy's tutorial, found HERE to create 2 vellum pocket journal cards for our partners. Minimum size of each will be 3"x5", maximum size is 4.5"x6.5". If you don't have pre-printed vellum, it is simple to print onto vellum or tracing paper from your printer. Simply affix a piece of vellum/tracing paper onto a sheet of regular printer paper using bits of washi tape intermittently along the edges of your paper. Your printer should 'grab' the printer paper, but print onto the vellum/tracing paper. It's magical ;+) You needn't use postcards for the back of the pocket; use what you have on hand suitable for journaling. I love Roxy's tutorials; unfortunately, they are all overly long. I don't want to commit to watching ANYONE for an hour each day. I wish more of the youtubers would create shorter, more succinct videos. You can definitely skip around on this one and get the general idea. Watch the first 12 minutes or so to get the basic idea, then scoot to the end where she affixes a few embellishments. Roxy uses a wet glue and you can see by the end of the tutorial, the edges are full of wrinkles. I think a glue stick or a glue runner would do much better on the vellum/tracing paper. Hope to see you in the swap! |
