VC: Multilayered Fabric Flower Embellishment

I saw this on Pinterest (with no link for instructions or information of any kind), and thought it would be a wonderful way for our group to welcome spring through our crafts. I have no idea how large the original flower is, but it looks quite large to me...and I'd rather go with a smaller size, both for ease of mailing, and for the ability to use the completed flower on a journal page. It's clearly multi-layered, so...I've made up some parameters for our completed flower (totally arbitrary). Let's make our flower no larger than 4 inches in diameter, and with a minimum of 7 or 8 layers, not including the button or other decorative element in the center. There are so many possibilities for our layers: fabric of course; lace; cheesecloth or gauze; tulle...pretty sure you can come up with more that I haven't even thought about! So...one gorgeous multi-layered fabric flower for your swap partner, with a decorative center button or jewel...just a pleasure to make!
