LLU: BYO📖 online book club - Feb 2021

Hey, readers! Happy Library Lovers month!

I thought it might be fun to try a Bring-Your-Own-Book Club, where folks can have a chance to connect with each other by sharing about whatever book they feel like talking about at the moment.

I might provide a suggested topic, but since I don't like to restrict anyone's reading choices I'm not going to require anyone to stick to it. -- Participants should feel free to write a little bit about one book (no spoilers please), whether you finished it recently or a while ago, or whether you're still working on it--or even one that you aren't enjoying that much, or have been putting off!

Since I think of Swap-bot as a place for making connections and learning about others, I would also encourage participants to introduce themselves a little bit at the beginning of their email.

Suggested topics you might use or ignore:

• what book were you excited to find at your library?

• what library book changed the way you thought about ___?

• an interesting literary duo or character (romantic or aromantic, coupled or not, authorized or fanfic)?

• what book would you recommend for a book group discussion?

SWAP RECAP:

📖 International, electronic swap - by (bcc) email or swap-bot direct message

📖 You will have up to 3 partners.

📖 Introduce yourself (a sentence or two will do--as much or as little as you'd like to share)

📖 Write at least a few sentences about one book--you can respond to one of the suggested prompts or not--up to you.

📖 Include swap name

📖 Don't forget to rate your partners :). If you received an on-time email or message that talks about a book, please give a 5.
