Description: | |
For this swap you will be creating one junk journal for one partner. Special thanks to @cmalaina for the fun swap inspiration! What is a junk journal? :A junk journal is a journal that is created using scraps from scrapbooking papers, found papers, playing cards, book pages, note pad papers....etc. and bonded into a ‘book’. •If you have participated in one of my previous swaps, you will see this one is a bit different, and has a theme- Cooking/Baking. • Please have a well filled out profile. This journal will be mostly sender’s choice, however I ask that you check your partner’s profiles prior to putting journal together to check for allergies, and dietary restrictions and dislikes, so that they do not receive a journal with recipes they cannot use-• It is important that you have this information listed on your page if you are allergic to, or otherwise have dietary restrictions you adhere to due to health or religious reasons. • If you do not have anything listed- your partner is to assume you are open to receiving anything they wish to include.• Please make sure sturdy paper is used for the front and back cover and that covers are decorated. This will be for kitchen use, so we want it to hold up well. • I encourage you to be as creative and original as you chose, and include decorations etc as you like. • I ask that you be reasonable when rating; for instance- if your profile states you don’t like garlic, please don’t mark your partner down because they included one recipe that contains a teaspoon of garlic- part of cooking and baking is making substitutions and customizing a recipe to suit you and your family. You may still really like said recipe, even if you omit the garlic altogether; However, If your profile states, “I am deathly allergic to chocolate”, and every recipe in the journal contains chocolate chips and cocoa powder, that would be a reasonable time to rate down. Lol • We are all adults here. Let’s be nice, be responsible and do our best - and we will all have fun and finish the swap happy. :)• Bind the journal with sewing, glue, rings, hole-punch or whatever method you prefer. • Size of the journal, minimum- 4x6 and maximum size- sender’s choice. • Please include 12+ pages, you can add more if you like. • Theme is Cooking and Baking; This journal is intended to include some recipes of senders choice (No less than 5), food/cooking/baking themed décor, and you should please take your partners profile info into account and avoid including things they dislike. (4) Pockets and/or tuck spaces will be the only specific requirement for this swap, as your partner will need somewhere in the journal to store their own recipes. You can use: • Cookbook pages • Scrapbook Paper • Cardstock • Printables • Recipe cards • Large or Small memo sheets • any size of envelopes • cards or postcards • wrapping paper • sheets from stationary sets • cellophane bags • paper bags • menus • velum • stickers (flakes or sheets) • fabric • pressed flowers or herbs • ric rac • whatever :)• FOR THIS SWAP I ASK NO GLITTER – NO ONE WANTS GLITTER ALL OVER THEIR KITCHEN LOLIf you’d like to swap ideas and inspiration feel free to do so in the comments, also feel free to post any questions you may have, I will try to check comments regularly, but if you don’t get a response please message me, as I most likely haven’t seen the comment yet. Be kind and communicate with your partner. Send something you would want to receive. Feel free to message me with any questions or concerns. Thank you for participating! -Chelsea Starleen |
