December Holiday Mini-zine

There are plenty of special occasions in the month of December, and for this swap you will be creating a mini-zine with one of them as the theme.

Choose one of the major December holidays such as Christmas or Hanukkah, or focus on one of the less commercial festivals like Dec. 12th (feast of the Virgin of Guadalupe), or perhaps just a very special local celebration or family anniversary. Write about what the occasion means to you, explain how it is observed in your area, or share some related historical trivia; describe what's it like to have a birthday at this time of year, or the moment you found out the truth about Santa. Reference one tiny detail of a certain celebration or pen a sweeping opus about the whole month of December. Essay, confession, anecdote ... fun, thoughtful, or serious ... spiritual, materialistic, or scientific ... just text, just pictures, or a mix of both... whatever you feel inspired to do.

Make at least 5 copies of your zine and mail one to each of your partners. (Or do like I plan to and make a whole bunch of copies to send out inside your Christmas cards this year.)

I will be creating my mini-zine in black and white from one sheet of letter-sized printer paper, reproduced on a photocopier and folded into a booklet, You may use this same format or a different one. Have fun and create something original that you are eager to share with others.

Sign up by November 27th and send by December 9th. No need to wait until partners are assigned to start working on your zine, as this swap is not profile-based. The swap is international, but postage should not be a huge issue as a mini-zine would be unlikely to require more than just a basic stamp.

You´ll need an average rating of 4.9 to join, and you should have at least five Type-3 swaps under your belt. No recent 1s or 3s. If your rating history or swap volume is slightly lower than that, p.m. me and we can talk. I reserve the right to ban anyone for any reason.
