I’d love to join but international rates are too high for me :(

That's a shame...they are delightful to make and to receive. I've found that using an "invitation" size envelope, it takes one international stamp (which is either $1.15 or $1.20) and one "extra ounce" stamp (which I believe is 21 cents, unless it went up a penny when the Forever stamps increased to 55 cents.

This group allows international members to swap just like the US members, so maybe it isn't the group for you...I have no control over the assignment of partners, so there's always the chance that you might be paired with someone living abroad. This is also the case for the You Tube Paper Crafters group, unless one of the officers hosts a US version of a "regular" swap.
