BTH: Lunar Handmade Postcard

For this swap, let's celebrate the moon! You will have one partner and will create a handmade postcard, at least 4x6" (9x13cm) that features the moon. It may be a full moon, a crescent moon, moon phases like our swap image - whatever calls out to you. The card may be hand drawn or painted, collaged, or mixed media - as long as the focal point of the card is the moon.

On the back, write your partner a note about your creation, your relationship with the moon, or whatever sparks your fancy. Please put some thought into it, don't just dash off a "hope you like!" type note. Write at least 5 sentences and don't forget to include your username and swap name!

For this swap, we are going to be sending our creations in an envelope to spare them the danger of getting mangled in postal machinery. That said, if you really want to receive it naked, please let your partner know in the comments below or via DM.

You will have 1 partner - 2 weeks to sign up and 3 weeks to send.

Please - no sticker slapping, hasty sketching/drawing, etc. This should be treated as a piece of art celebrating the moon, so put your best effort forth.

In a Nutshell

• Create one handmade postcard that is at least 4x6" (9x13 cm) that features the moon as it's focal point.

• The postcard should be made using a sturdy base (e.g., cereal box, thin cardboard, etc.).

• You may use any media you wish - collage, mixed media, stamped, hand-drawn or painted, etc. Please put your best effort forward!

• The art form is sender's choice, so you can start at any time.

• Include a note that is a minimum of 5 sentences on the back of the postcard, and make sure that you annotate your name, username, and swap name on the back as well.

• Include a note with your name, username, and the swap name.

• Send on time. Rate promptly upon receipt. Sending late without communication warrants a 3 rating and removal from the group. Not rating or having to be chased for a rating also warrants removal from the group. Communicate and rate.
