Description:

Hello Everyone! With Telizas's blessing I am continuing the Friendship Afghan Swaps for those of us that have started later in this swap or are interested in larger blankets. Please look for additional rounds so you can expand on your blankets. - This is Round 11 and I will continue with additional swaps until we reach Round 20.

BOTH CROCHETERS & KNITTERS WELCOME!!! INTERNATIONAL SINCE THE POSTAGE WILL BE FAIRLY SMALL.

In this swap you will have two partners. You will knit or crochet 3 6-inch squares for each partner for a total of 6 squares. You will receive two packages containing 3 squares each from your respective partners. You will use your partner's choice of colors and yarn fiber, so please PM or email them for their choice, OR, please refer to the discussion board below and add your choice as well.

You can use any pattern you choose, so long as the completed square measures 6-inches. All squares should be made with 4-ply worsted weight yarn (or equivalent). Please do not use chunky, bulky or fingering weight yarn; we want the squares to match when we sew them together!

Everyone is welcome, as long as they have a rating above 4.8 and no no-sends within the last three months. Newbies are welcome with a completed profile. I will be checking profiles before assigning partners.

PLEASE NOTE: YOU MUST RATE FOR THIS SWAP. Please do not sign up for this swap if you do not plan to rate.

IMPORTANT: If you are behind on your squares from previous rounds, and have not sent, you will be deleted from this round!

Any fiber, any color is OK. Solid, varigated, stripe, fleck all are OK. Just use up your stash. Thank you for doing this Holda!

I prefer 100% soft wool or 100% cotton. Thank you

I would love to join this swap. I definitely need to do some serious stash-busting and this is a really great idea.

I like bright solid colors in something washable. Jewel tones and black are good. I love stripes and patterns - just not variegated yarns. Please use stash! That's more important. Thanks.

I would like dark greens, dark blues, and rusts, OR any earth tones, please use what you have. I prefer to have yarn that is washable, please no wool. Thanks.

LibbyM 04/16/2009 #

Just to say that acrylics wool blends OK

amandapage 05/14/2009 #

I like jewel tones, and am fine with acrylic or wool.
