Description:

Do you enjoy audio books? Or are you afraid to give them a try? Have some on your self? Let's mark those off!

For this swap, you will listen to one audiobook, and it should be based on a book on your TBR list. If you have an audio on your shelf, now is the time to finish it up! If you don't, check out your library for the audio version of a title on your TBR and try it out! Or use any of the similar apps - I love our library's Over Drive app, so very handy! You should NOT add an additional title to your list for this swap. :)

If you're not a regular audio book listener, you may find a new way to enjoy a book while you're out and about, or doing chores. :)

In the USA, most libraries offer audios on CD as well as downloads, besides sites like Audible that charge for audio books. I believe there are other services for 'free' audio books through Spotify and other apps as well.

So, for this swap, choose an audio book to listen to over the course of the month. At the end of the month, once partners are assigned, send an EMAIL to your partner(s) telling them the title and author of the book you listened to, and add the narrator's name if you can find it. (some are tricky to find). Include a summary of the book (can be your own or one from the publisher), and your thoughts of listening to the book rather than reading it. What did you think? Did you enjoy it? Do you think you might look for other audio books?

So that's it! You'll try out an audio book and cross a book off your TBR. Sounds good, right? :)

If you have any questions or comments please send me a PM and I'll respond as soon as possible. :)

You do not need to wait for partners to be assigned before you start listening to your book! You can start at any time.

If you have suggestions for services that offer audio books (especially free services) that you've tried and liked and wish to share, please feel free to do so in the comments below. I hope this can be a cost-free swap! :) That's my goal, at least.

Happy LISTENING! :)

Not free but Scribd offers "unlimited" (more like 3-4 new releases/best sellers before limiting your listening) audiobooks and I believe it's cheaper than audible, but it doesn't have quite as wide a selection, and you can get a 30-day free trial. You can also read ebooks through Scribd

librivox.org has free audiobooks. They are generally older books, read by volunteers, and I've listened to some really interesting things through there.
