Description:

We are studying the Gospel of John in 7 parts, looking at 3 chapters per study. This is the 4th part of the 7-part series.

I've also broken the questions down inside of each chapter, so that you can more easily find the answers (or know which passage the question is based on).

You will read the John 10-12 and then answer the questions below. Send your answers to your partner.

Your Q & A may be typed or handwritten.

  2. Why does Jesus call death “sleep”?

  1. Picture Lazarus at the festival. How might all of Jesus’s followers one day resemble Lazarus?
  2. Why was Mary’s gift itself so significant? How was it foreshadowing the cross?
  3. Why is Mary’s gift a picture of extravagant love?

(Verse 12-36)

  1. What Old Testament texts show the Messiah would come for all nations?
  2. What does it mean to hate your life in this world? Why would anyone do this?

(Verse 37-50)

  1. What is unbelief?
  2. Can you have belief in Jesus apart from accepting and believing the Word of God?
  3. How is unbelief a spiritual state rather than a mental one?
  4. How does Acts 28:28 shed light on why God would not open the hearts of many Jews to believe in Jesus?
