@BluePixie I like the idea of this. I can see that you are new to hosting and just want to suggest setting some more parameters for your ATC swaps. Mainly, a rating requirement, especially for a type 3 swap. If you open this up to all with no guidelines, you may get a lot of joiners and feasibly a high number of flakers.

@Bhindblueeyes Thank you for your input! I just want to make this available to newbies too. I remember being so disappointed and feeling left out when I count join swaps simply because I was "fresh meat". Do you have any suggestions on how to make tighter guidelines but still allow anyone who truly wants to join?

I'm still lurking and gathering info before venturing into the hosting waters but kudos to you for giving it a go!

How do we get our partners address ?

In regards to @Disneydezi s comment about angeling being "sweet" . . . If you're hosting a swap, you should always ALWAYS be willing to angel. It's the responsible thing to do. If you aren't willing to or 'cannot' angel, you shouldn't be hosting that swap. Period. Angeling your own swap isn't sweet, it's proper host etiquette.

You can still allow newbies, but you should have some rating requirements. I never go lower than a 4.98, sometimes a 5.00 for big swaps. You should even look at how many type 3 swaps newbies have completed. Also, always check to make sure they have NO late swaps on their dash, etc., missing ratings, make sure they have a complete address (a full name), etc. There are lots of ways one should vet their swaps. As a host, your main priority should be keeping your swappers safe and not flaked on, not being all inclusive. I understand how frustrating it can be to be a newbie, but we've all been there. Take a look at @babybee78 - this is a prime example of why it's important to be proactive.

@Cassieg When the sign up deadline passes, the host will assign partners randomly.

@cassieg When the swap date ends and partners are assigned it will be done attomaticly. You will get an email reminder if you’re signed up for this swap when this happens so no need to fret about remembering dates too religiously. To find the address though (I had trouble my first time) it will be on this page here in a box on the upper right side, just click “See the partners you send to” and their info should pop up. I suggest clicking through to their bio page too and readings about them and maybe making a friend in the process!

@Bhindueeyes I agree that Angeling should be the standard for hosting. And I do plan on doing everything in my power to keep the flakers and fakers away with thorough profile and bio reviews. Thank you for the help you’ve provided!

@Disneydezi Thank you so much for the links! They were very informative and fun to read! I’ve been wanting a swap like this for awhile and nobody has hosted one so I decided to do one myself.
