NaNo Prep: 12 Faces

Send your partner a dozen images from magazines, catalogs or newspapers of potential characters for her/his NaNo novel.

I keep pictures of faces and places (tucked into page protectors) in three-ring binders and flip through looking for ones to match to the characters in my mind… or to use to inspire the description of a character, place or thing.

If possible, aim to mail the 12 images flat instead of folded. This is not required, it just makes for a neater presentation, particularly if someone wants to start an images binder. (Of course, some newspaper images may already have a fold depending on where they show up.)

Please do not steal copyrighted images from the Internet. The idea here is to find interesting, intriguing faces (human or otherwise) or settings that could inspire your partner this November.
