Black Envie Mail Art-USA

So this is one of my favorite types of Mail Art envies to do!

You can use either a handmade or a store bought 5x7 black envelope which you will then draw a design on. The colors and design are of your choosing. You can use any kind of pens or art supplies that will show up well on the black background. Pentel Gel Pens or Gellyroll’s Moonlight Gel Pens work really great.

Inside the Envie include a nice assortment of flat goodies. Send an amount you’d be happy to receive and things you think your partner will enjoy. It’s senders choice, but avoid sending anything specifically on your partners “dislikes” list. You could send an assortment of things like: Washi samples, die cuts, stickers, ATC size or larger scrapbook papers, paper embellishments, used postage stamps, etc.

Include a lil note saying hi and telling your partner about how you came up with your black envie design.
