Description:

It just dawned on me that party season is upon us. What to take to that first holiday bash? If you’re like me, you wind up taking the same boring appetizers year after year. Hummus is good, but we all want to spice up and spark up our parties with good, healthy veg * n appetizers.

In this swap, you will send your partner

  • a minimum of three vegetarian and/or vegan appetizer recipes;
  • only recipe one should contain dairy (Cheese and sour cream seem to be staples for snacks!);
  • only recipe one should be a dip -- sweet or savory;
  • if you get your recipe from a magazine, book or website, please give appropriate credit and information;
  • at least one of these (preferably ALL) should be a tried ’n’ tested appetizer; and, perhaps most importantly
  • NOT BORING!

That means no hummus. No passing on the artichoke-cheese dip recipe. Don’t just provide three different bruschetta topping ideas. Be creative!

Please, of course, make sure all the recipes are vegetarian or vegan.

If you have any allergies or diet restrictions, please note them here.

This will be an email swap so those outside the United States can join. It will also enable us to do our part in saving resources! Although the swap deadline is given as December 19th, the sooner you send, the better for your partners. The idea is to inspire and share, thus preventing boring party fare for us all.

Enjoy!

No spinach, apples, or mushrooms please. Low-fat and -sodium ideas would be much appreciated.
