I have hosted this idea in another group in the past and think we ocean lovers would have fun with this. I have some travel plans, so this is a long lead time to send out. If you do not own driftwood, I was informed that you can buy it on Etsy or Ebay! Or you can make driftwood according to this link here. makedriftwood This is a labor intensive process, but with so many things to make with driftwood, this may be worth it! Wand ideas using crystals, shells, paint. I have wrapped sticks with embroidery floss. The creative ideas are endless. I like to add beads and tiny bottles filled with sand from the beach, too. Take a peek here link 1stLOOK I have loads of stuff that I glean from the beach and I know that my friends that live near rivers and ponds often collect wood and other objects that would make a wonderful wand using driftwood. We will make a wand no shorter than 7 inches and can be as long as you wish. Keep in mind postage and careful packaging to protect your artwork. Include a note for your partner telling about where the elements were found. So, this is a USA swap only. Feel free to use the idea if you wish to host internationally. One partner, one wand. This is not a profile based swap so you can start well ahead of the sign-up if you wish. Group rules apply to this swap on group page. Let's have some fun with driftwood! |
