TPS: Inspiration Cards - October 2017

Whether this is the first or tenth time you have joined this swap PLEASE READ!!

This may well be the last time I run this swap. For the two reasons listed below. This only applies to a couple of participants but I want to get ahead of it or quit hosting. If you have any questions or concerns please pm me.

#1: QUALITY OF EFFORT These are artistic trading cards. Please put some effort into them. Use some nice gelli prints for your backgrounds. It should be obvious to the receiver that they are monoprint backgrounds. Scraps are certainly fine, but it should be obvious that they are unique, monoprinted, artistic pieces of paper. Then please put some effort into the quote(s) you choose. Putting "Dream" on one side and "Create" on the other side is akin to sticker slapping. Dig deep. Share some inspiration with your partner. Pick some sayings or quotes that inspire you and help you get through your hard times. Express yourself!

#2: PROMPTNESS Late swaps will not be tolerated. I have been patient on this point but my patience has run out. If something CATASTROPHIC happens in your life that causes you to run late please pm your partner AND pm me. Do not send late then make excuses. Anyone who fails to send promptly or fails to communicate will be rated a 3 and banned from future swaps.

I approach these cards as being 2-sided ATCs. The sides can relate to each other or be separate entities. You can use any media you want -- maybe even approach them as mini journal pages. At least one side must have an inspirational message -- sayings or quotes of some kind. And because this is swap for the group The Print Shop both sides of the card must utilize a mono-printed background. (Feel free to keep the embellishments simple -- be sure some of your beautiful mono-prints show through).

You will make two cards for one partner.

Nitty Gritty:

2 Cards to 1 Partner (ATC sized cards 2.5" x 3.5")

Decorate/embellish both sides of the card.

Sender's choice of design, theme, and embellishment

Both sides must incorporate some mono printed paper/material(s)

Designs must include an inspirational message
