Description:

I got this idea based on a swap hosted by @AmericanHeiress called 'shared journal experience' in the main forum, and one hosted by @draco in a group. This will be my own little twist, though, so let me know what you think! I plan to host this every few weeks, a new round each time, and you can join as many as you wish.

This will be a journal swap, BUT we are only sending pages to each other, not the whole journal. It will keep down costs, keep the time between shorter, and you won't loose your journal! Sounds good, right? I hope so!

You may want to have a binder or folder to collect your pages in, but you will NOT be sending it out. It's just going to be a place to collect your pages.

You may type your entries or hand write them, but be sure they are standard computer page size, (8.5 x 11"/ A4) so they will fit in everyone's binder or folder. Please leave room on the left edge and the top of the page in case your partner wishes to punch holes in the page to add to a binder. :) Entries should, of course be neat and clearly written or typed. You may decorate your pages if you wish, just be sure they are still about to be clearly read. :) If you choose to add pictures or items like ticket stubs (as a magpie!) you may do that, but that needs to be in addition to your 1 page of written entry. (You may use the back of the first page, as long as your ink doesn't bleed through. Pages may be neatly folded and mailed in a standard size envelope.)

For each round you will send 3 pages (minimum) if you wish to write more, please do, but 1 page is the minimum:

Page 1 will be a short biography of you, about 1 page long, but it can be longer. Whatever you choose to share.

Page 2 will be a journal entry of your day, about 1 page long, again whatever you wish to share. If you wish to take more than a page, that is fine.

Page 3 will be a journal prompt reply. You may choose from ONE of these topics:

Why did you join swap-bot?

What is your favorite hobby? How did you get started on the hobby? Do you share the hobby with anyone?

What are your earliest memories?

Who is your greatest hero? Why?

Secrets. Do you keep them? Do you share them? Has sharing or keeping secrets ever 'backfired' on you?

Your choice - find a journal prompt, state it, and write about it.

(If you have suggestions for journal prompts, please share them, or websites for such. I'm using www.journalbuddies.com to find most of these.)

So, you have typed & printed or written your bio, journal entry and journal prompt. Now what? You will send those 3 items to your swap-bot partner. :) If you get all 3, you rate them a 5. :) Hearts, of course, are up to you. You can then collect the entries in your binder or folder and add to it with each round. You may neatly fold your pages into a standard sized envelope. Your pages do not need to be mailed flat - this should help with postage costs.

This swap will be International, and you will have 1 partner.

Sound good? Any questions, concerns, comments? Please PM me (I don't see the comments as often as PM's, so it might take a while to get a reply.)
