Electronic Swap Shrine (Magic during August)

This is an electronic swap where you will send one photo to one partner.

Don't let that fool you into thinking this swap is easy. By signing up for this swap, you are agreeing to be a Shrine Tending Maiden/ Mother/ or Crone for a year.

For this electronic swap you will create a personal shrine somewhere in your home. It could be in a corner of your room, on the top of a bookcase or somewhere that is a power spot.

Many shrine tenders know that charms, talismans, special crystals or power stones, wand, staves, cauldrons, candle holders, shells and even statues of deity usually have an expiration date for the intention we give them to help us with good luck, protection, good health, happiness, prosperity and other personal requests.

These sacred items are not always something we buy, but more often are found, or given to us. Spend time in your home gathering these items in one place so you can see them, hold them and sense if they are still working. (I have one candle holder that was charged to work for 10 years!) If you sense an item is still charged, it is better that you carry it on your person. And yes, there is just so many you can carry even in a drawstring bag.

After you gathered your items, sensed if they are still charged, take the ones whose energy has expired to the shrine or power spot. Add any you think are still working that you may have chosen not to carry. Take time to conjure your spells or simple intention that you write on a piece of paper. Roll it similar to a scroll, tie it with a ribbon and date the outside. Add it to the shrine.

Here is where the swap comes in. After doing the work above to create a shrine from the magickal tools in your home, take a picture of it to send to your partner. Explain in your note how this process was for you. Were you surprised by what you found in your home that you gathered for this shrine? Please keep the silence regarding your intention. All you need to do is have your scroll show up in the photo along with all the sacred items you brought together for this energy.
