Description:

In short, this swap entails making your partner laugh, or at least smile.

You will have one partner only (so that you can check their profile for anything they may find inappropriate or offensive, not everyone likes the same things) and you will send them an email with a minimum of 3 things which made you laugh and/or smile.

Things you could send include: - jokes - memes - cartoon strip images - misheard song lyrics (short bits, ideally) - one of my favourites was someone mishearing I'm a Believer as 'then I saw her face, now I'm going to leave her' - photos, especially with captions

The turn around is relatively quick because I don't anticipate this being a time consuming activity for the swapper. I think my main issue will be cutting the list down enough to make a sensible length email!

I'm opening this to everyone, newbies are very welcome as are experienced swappers. If you have low ratings, this won't exclude you, but I will exclude any flakers from future swaps and I will angel.

Depending on uptake, I may try a flat mail version of this in the future, I like the idea of a book of smiles falling through someone's door; opinions on this would be very much appreciated.

Hello, Michelle! Welcome to SB. As per your request, here I am to talk a bit about your invitation :-) Please note that many things generate the lack of interest in swaps but just to mention few:

a) You are a newbie and usually, takes a bit of time to build reputation not only as a good swapper but as well as a good host that look after swaps problems-free

b) Not all the international members are interested in electronic swaps, most of us are heavy swappers and willing to do categories 2 and 3

c) As swappers with very active agenda on Swap-Bot, most of us prefer to do swaps within a group where the founder keeps diligent care for maintaining the group flakers and drama free

d) Describing a swap as newbies' friendly and with no rating required is a trigger and usually will alert the serious swappers to avoid it. I know everyone deserves an opportunity and all of us started in the same way at some point, but that is why Newbies Helper group is for, to create the appropriate environment for newbies to learn how to play after SB's rules and to have the opportunity to swap in order to gain some ratings.

e) Doing swaps like this one outside NH's group is very risky and I am not interested in compromise my rating that has taken me enough effort and work, even if is ''only'' an electronic swap, because whether 1 or 2 or 3, the same rating system is applied to all the swaps and I could be endangering mine with an unscrupulous person.

As a suggestion, go and check and read more those threads about hosting, swapping, double profilers, Hall of shame and other related important aspects of the swapping activity to make sure you understand the way you can play/host swaps in a safe manner and if the community see you around, concern about being a good host, you will gain trust.

Hugs :-)
