Does the book have to be hardcover? What about a like-new paperback or trade paperback?

kath85 10/22/2008 #

Most of the older novels that I've seen at thrift stores are hardback (and they're my preference), but tailor to your partner's likes. If you find an old paperback that you know your partner will love, then go for it!

Just out of curiousity, why pre-1965?

kath85 10/22/2008 #

Just to make them really vintage/antique. But since I'm sensing this is what's tripping people up, I'll edit that to make it more general. If people have suggestions or thoughts, feel free to let me know since I haven't done a lot of swapping yet.

By full package of hot chocolate/tea...I just wanted to verify, but I have holiday boxes of hot cocoa with 4 packets in them...would that be appropriate?

kath85 12/11/2008 #

It's up to you, but if the box is nice and has been unused (you haven't taken any of the packets out to drink) it should be fine. Best way to know if it's okay is to ask yourself whether you would be excited to receive them. :)

This is the most perfect swap! And I have a great extra in mind for possible partners.

I LOVE any flavored hot chocolates and most any kind of tea...love the fruity ones most though. As for books, I do not like the harlequin type romances or horror. Sci-fi would be okay.

If I have listed the actual titles or series of the books in my profiles I have them already, if I have just generalized, then it pretty much means it's open, I don't have as much poetry as I would like or hardly any if the Russian writers of imperial Russia, just Pushkin. I also like fantasy, gothic, but please no romances like the Harlequin stuff or anything like that. Thank you!

Oops, didn't mean to say twice, I hate when I do that! lol
