I'm not sure how many glass artists we have here on Swap Bot, but I'm about to find out! This swap is newbie friendly. Please be advised that I will be thoroughly checking profiles before assigning partners. You must have a well filled out profile and no unexplained 1 or 3 ratings. Swap Guidelines: You will have 2 partners so you will receive 2 new ornaments! You must make your ornament - no "re-gifting" is allowed. Ornaments must be constructed using one (or more) of the following methods: Fused in a kiln OR Cut, foiled, & soldered OR Cut, leaded, & soldered. The theme/design of the ornament must be suitable for hanging on a Christmas tree. So no other holidays or special interests unless they are in line with your partners likes/preferences. The design and construction method are 100% sender's choice, but considering your partner's likes/dislikes is always encouraged - that's how you get hearts! No painted glass kits are permitted. The size should be in the 3-6 inch range so it isn't too tiny or too large/heavy to hang on a tree. Include a little note with what inspired you to make the ornament and maybe what your favorite brand of glass or foil or solder is so your partner can find out about some great products they may not already know about.

@Lindi To change your birth year, hover your pointer over Profile at the top of the page and click "Edit Profile." Your birth date is listed on the first page that loads.

@Sandara333 That sounds awesome! I haven't decided what I'm doing yet - fused or foiled & soldered. I think I'll be tinkering in the studio this weekend and I might figure it out then. :-)

For anyone concerned, there are a couple people in the swap that I know personally that signed up with swap-bot specifically so they could do this swap - they are shiny new to swap-bot and have no swap history, but they're not new to swapping or glass. This is the first swap that I will be doing. If I understand, I will be getting two names and address to exchange with. But the theme of the ornaments is of my choice,so I could do something that represents where I live? Or does it have to be Christmas theme only?

@Beckyhalaska I'm not the host but senders choice means you get to pick what ever theme you wish. I would not mind your doing something from where you lived.

@Beckyhalaska Becky, the theme is up to you, but it should be appropriate for hanging on a Christmas Tree - so maybe no spiders or Easter Bunnies. :-) I think something representing where you live is a fantastic idea!
