This is a way to recycle a small empty jar you have in your kitchen cupboard and make something magickal with it. We are going to alter a jar or bottle for Hallows. This is for our kitchen, either on a shelf or windowsill. It can stay up all year long or just for the season of the Witch. One partner, sender's choice. You can age your bottle by scrubbing it with sandpaper in several directions. You can print off free labels for a jar or bottle. You can add (non-liquid) contents that suggest something for magickal use. Like 'Eye of Newt'...don't go out and slaughter a dozen newts for their eyes, but consider a trip to the dollar store to get googlie eyes and glue them in pairs. A jar doesn't need to be filled. Let your imagination sail upwards. Consider if the jar is going to a home with kids who believe in what they read and do not give them nightmares about the meals they eat at home. I plan to make one for my youngest Grandchild with Skittles in it and label it 'Warthog Warts' and know he will love it! Be nice with what you send. Nothing made out of fairies or dragons, or in fact, from the blood or bones of witches! You could make a jar of 'Toil & Trouble' or 'Full Moon Dust'. If you know your partner is ok with the darker arts, you can label a jar with 'Poison' or 'Black Magick'. Ask to be sure. You are welcome to make comments below regarding the scare factor. One partner. Send on time. One apothecary jar for the kitchen with a label and non-liquid contents. Do no harm. Rate when received. Email me with questions or concerns. |
