Description:

We have all collected knowledge over the years and what we know is one of the things that makes us interesting and unique people. This is a cheap swap to let you share your information.

You will send three pieces of knowledge to your partner. Write, copy or type the following on an attractive notecard, piece of letter paper or anything else suitable:

  1. Instructions for something you know how to do that they might like to replicate. This can be something like a recipe, a craft project, a DIY job, a dance step - anything. Check your partners profile and try to send somthing outside their normal activities but which you think might intrique or amuse them or could be useful.

  2. Send an interesting fact or piece of information related to your job, or if you do not work outside of the home, something home or child care related.

  3. Send a piece of useless but funny or intriguing information that you have picked up.

Then send a small gift that relates to one of the pieces of information. The gift need only be somthing light so that no-one is prohitited from participating by the cost of international postage. It could be a postcard, bookmark or ATC with a related picture, or a small piece of equipment needed to follow your instructions. the gift can be bought or handmade Use your imagination!

It is not essential, but if you want to, you can tell the story of how you came by these bits of knowledge.

This is an international swap.

Newbies are welcome but I will ban anyone with more than 1 no-send or an average rating of less than 4.

What a great idea. This old dog is looking forward to learning some new tricks!

This sounds like so much fun! As someone who can be (painfully) shy talking in front of peole, this will be a bit easier to open up and share!

Just to let people know. Despite saying that no one with a rating of less than 4 should sign up I have been contacted by an almost newbie with a single rating of 3 and, given the explanation I was given privately have told them to sign up. I just thought I'd post this in case someone checked the list of particpiants and wondered why I had not banned them.

Hope all is okay with me being here, I am a complete newbie, but I promise to be good :)

You are very welcome BleakOptimism! But be warned. I was a newbie last month and now I am completely taken with swaps and the people at our little local post office are very intrigued!

There's a little packet of know-how on its way to NH from Japan.

cierra913 (Ellie), you should receive your package next week! I sent it out just before the send-by date, and according to the post office, it will take about 2 weeks to arrive :)
