Description:

In this easy swap you will be making homemade envelopes from pages clipped from an old children's picture book.

Requirements:

  1. You will be sending to 2 partners in this swap.

  2. You will need to find an old children's picture book. Ideally an old favourite but if you don't have one of these lying around the house, most libraries will have a book sale table where you can buy books cheap, or you can try a second hand book shop or garage sale. Try to pick books with nice illustrations. (it is great if you can use an old damaged book as we will be chopping them up but be careful that the book hasn't been water damaged as this really affects the quality of the paper).

  3. Choose two pages from the book that you like and use these to make two simple envelopes.

  4. Enclose a short letter in each. In your letter tell your partner about your favourite children's books from when you were young and talk about the books you like to read to your own children, nieces, nephews or siblings.

  5. Send on time (this is a requirement-if you do not send on time you risk being rated a 3).

  6. Rate your partners.

The finer details:

  • Don't forget to include the swap name and your user name.

  • The letters need only be short-a few lines, and can be on note paper or a note card, handwritten or typed-it is your choice.

  • This swap is senders choice.

  • There is no size requirement but you will need to find a big enough book so you can make a reasonable sized envelope from the pages.

  • Not sure how to make an envelope this link may help.

Please rate your partners ASAP and include a comment with some feedback.

If you receive a handmade envelope (made out of a children's book page) and a short letter you must rate a 5-of course hearts are up to you.

Allow a reasonable amount of time for international postage-but communicate with me (the host) or your partner if there are any problems.

Happy swapping everyone :)
