ANNOUNCEMENT FOR PEOPLE IN THIS SWAP

If you can, please take a photo of your card and send it to me before you mail it off! I won't post them anywhere without your express permission, I just really want to see these :)

This swap is for a unique piece of art based on tarot.

You will hand draw or hand paint one original tarot card on a 3" x 5" (76 mm x 127 mm) piece of cardstock. You may choose any of the standard 78 cards, major or minor arcana, but make it your interpretation (ie, don't just reproduce an existing deck's card!). Really get creative, the sky is the limit here, but make sure it's neat and something you'd like to receive yourself. Do try to keep in mind the symbolism behind your card as well, though strict adherence to Rider-Waite is definitely not necessary. The back does not need to be hand decorated, but don't leave it blank.

Include a short note about why you chose that specific card, why you represented it the way you did, etc. A few lines is fine, but make sure you do your work justice.

NOTE: This swap is open to all art levels, whether you're a novice or a pro. Do not join if you will feel let down receiving art from a beginner-- time & effort is expected here, skill is something no one gets without practice! I want everyone to feel safe trying out something new/different.
