Description:

This swap is for pocket letter newbies who, myself included, want a chance to try this new thing out - stress free.

You will have one partner. Basically, you fill up a 9 pocket trading card sleeve with 2.5 X 3.5 decorated "cards" very much like ATCs. You can check Google, YouTube, and/or Pinterest for some great ideas. Decorate each card to represent you & your style, so your partner can get a good idea about who you are. Then you also write your partner a decent sized letter introducing yourself. Be sure to include the swap name & your username in the letter so you can be rated. Fold up the letter and tuck it in any pocket. For this swap you do NOT have to include any goodies, but you are more than welcome to if you'd like. Goodies might be washi tape samples , ribbon, stickers, buttons, embellishments, tea bag, sequins, etc. You can decorate the back of your cards, but it is NOT required.

This is a quick turnaround swap, because you can start your pocket letter right away as it is based on your own style. Remember: this swap is for people who are new at pocket letters and want to test the basics, so if your picky, this may not be the swap for you. However, be sure to put some effort when creating these as you can start a binder collection of them. Try to keep things relatively flat, when you fold this letter into thirds as it should fit in a regular business envelope.

I will be checking profiles carefully. Newbies welcome with filled out profile. No recent or unexplained 1s or 3s and I reserve the right to remove anyone that I don't feel will be a good match. Rate a 5 if it was sent on time, even if you didn't like it. If you don't receive your swap please let your partner know before rating a 1 or 3. This is a US swap only, but I will probably host an international one shortly after.

Feel free to comment or pm me should you have any questions. Thank You & Happy Swapping! :)

I have a question because I am new to these pocket letters - does anyone know if just a sheet of scrapbook paper (from the big pads) is sturdy enough to decorate and send...or...do you have to glue the scrapbook paper to something thicker like card stock? Is the thickness just a preference thing or will it not hold up in the mail?

@SheWolf Yes scrapbooking paper is fine. As pocket letters are in a clear trading card sleeve, they are protected quite well.

I am disappointed that this is yet another America only swap. :(

@Lizard I'm interested in hosting an international swap. I've heard that it can be kinda pricey to send them international, but this is my first pocket letter swap ever so I don't know prices yet.
