Description:

There is a holiday for every day of the year. Since we will all be using the same holiday calendar, go to this website for the calendar month of July: http://holidayinsights.com/moreholidays/july.htm

Using this calendar, you'll pick 4 different holidays from the month, you choose which four, and send something to your partner that has to do with the holidays you choose. It can be a news article, craft, purchased item, etc., just mix it up a little. Anything that comes to mind that represents that holiday.

I am changing things up a bit. Only one flat paper item will be allowed. This includes postcards, recipes cards, xeroxed paper items, coupons, bookmarks, etc., with the exception of a small note that you would normally send, or if you are sending extra items. This is a type 3 swap.

There are so many fun holidays this month! For ex: July 15 is National Ice Cream Day. You might send your partner some sprinkles and toppings for their ice cream celebration. July 25 is Culinarians Day. Maybe send some recipe cards or some cool kitchen gadget! Use your imagination! So you will send your partner a total of 4 items. After you have collected the 4 items, please send them all together to your partner by the assigned deadline of June 26. This is USA/Canada only, 1 partner, and anyone with 4.95 ratings or better, and no recent unexplainable no-sends or lateness. New swappers with a full profile are welcome. This will be fun!

Yay! My birthday month!

The state of Utah has its own paid holiday on July 24, of which is when the pioneers came from the East to the West in the covered wagons. Some pioneers had hand cards and pulled or pushed them across the USA. Yes, it is a paid holiday.

That's interesting MiniQuilt. And a paid holiday at that! Thanks for sharing!

Sorry for asking so late, we should send all the items by June 26th? So should you put the date that the item pertains to on the outside of the envelope so they can open it that day, or does it matter? They can just open it when ever, even if the day is not until the end of the month.

Your partner may decide to wait until the dates to open or they may want to open them once they receive them, but rating is recommended or required within 2 weeks. You should somehow write the date and holiday either on each item or in a note, so your partner knows what the holiday is.

I didn't have a computer for a few days & missed the sign up! I had so much fun last month. Looking forward to August!

Uh oh, I was sure I joined this swap, but I think I forgot to push the extra button, lol

PrincessBedhead 06/14/2015 #

So only one flat item.....how much should this cost to ship you think?

craftygirl 06/16/2015 #

It really depends on what you send, as to your question about cost. And also, how you mail it.
