Description:

This is a swap for those who journal, do project life, scrapbook or write a diary. It's also for those who haven't done such a thing before and would like to give it a try. You can join at any time and join as many swaps as you want.

Once a month you will visit a place and document that trip/event in a format that suits you. Every 2 weeks there will be a prompt you can use to document your daily life during this summer. You will send your partner an email that shows your documentation. This can be a picture of what you made, a typed journal entry or a link to your blog or flickrpage (other sites are fine as well, as long as it's public). I will open a thread in the groupforum for any questions and your ideas for prompts and things to do this summer.

This will be our first little trip, I'm excited! I try to keep these trips as open as possible, I hope everybody will be able to join them, it shouldn't matter if you are living in a big city or in the middle of nowwhere. For this first trip we will visit a statue or a sculpture or a memorial sign. I think these kind of things can be found all over the world and even the smallest towns probably have such a thing. If I'm wrong about that I invite you to think outside the box. I have a 6 year old niece who is really good with clay and who would love to make me a sculpture. Or perhaps there are some odd shaped rocks in your neighbourhood that have a story to tell. Just make it a fun experience. If it's placed on your townsquare, fine, you don't need to go far, but add something extra like eating an icecream. Make it a nice summer activity.

As always is it up to you how you document this trip. You choose the format. Here are a few ideas you can use in your documentation: Who is the statue for, who made it and why is it made. What materials are used. Do you like it? Take pictures of it or draw it yourself. If you had to design something for the occasion what would you have done? Where was it and what else did you do at this trip. Did you go by car or public transport? Did you had a picknick, who was with you? Maybe you can buy a postcard with the statue on it or is it placed in a themed park. Collect your bustickets, icewrappers, a found object, ticets etc to use in your documentation. Again, if you just want to write about it: that's fine too.

This too will be shared on instagram. I also created a blog. I'm not a teacher, but I hope to share ideas for those who have never done something like documenting your life. This coming week I will post about how to do a documentation about a statue. You can find it here: https://creativitybyangenita.wordpress.com/

In a nutshell: 1-visit some sort of sculpture 2-do some memoriekeeping about your visit 3-sent your partner an email with your documentation.
