Description:

This is a fun remix of a previous swap! For this swap, you will create a bracket of 64 different slash pairings. Use the bracket format to let the pairings battle it out at each round until one pairing remains triumphant at the end!

What to do:

Step 1 Print out a blank bracket online such as this one or this one.

Step 2 Write in 64 different slash pairings. They can be pairings from absolutely any fandoms, even ones you don't follow or ones you don't ship. Pairings can be from canon, fanon, or even RPS as long as they are slash (femslash counts for this as well). HINT: For a better experience, you might want to group by fandom or write a list and then randomize the order of pairings so the battles are completely random and take you by surprise.

Step 3 Match each pairing up against each other and decide which should win. Maybe you decide based on which is your favorite of the two or which is the stronger pairing or which you think could win in an actual battle against the other. You should end up with one ultimate winner!

Step 4 Write a short note to your partner about your bracket. How did you choose which pairings to put in? How did you choose who should win each battle? Were you surprised by the result?

Step 5 Send your bracket to your partner through snail mail. You are welcome to give it a creative title or decorate it any way you like, though that isn't required.

Need some pairings to help fill out your bracket? Here are the ones we worked with last year.

Post if you have questions/comments or pairings suggestions for people to include in their brackets!

I think I'm going to divide each of the four sections up into genres... contemporary pairings, supernatural pairings, fantasy pairings, sci-fi pairings maybe? That way the pairings are competing against their own genre and then the winners go up against the winners of different genres.
