Description: | |
First, take a 4 inch by 4 inch piece of paper. Decorate it however you want. Random patterns, stamps, zentangle, watercolor, etc. Just paint on it or draw on it. When you are done, THEN cut it into 8 inchies and 2 twinchies. (Cut a 2 inch strip off the bottom, then cut that strip in half, and you have the 2 twinchies. Cut the rest in one inch squares, and you'll end up with 8 inchies.) Now, mount the inchies on a 4 by 6 piece of heavy cardstock (an old postcard works great!) Mount them creatively, don't just put them together like a jig saw puzzle. Leave spaces between them, put them at odd angles. Whatever you want. Just mount them in a creative manner. Now, put the 4 by 6 piece, with the inchies mounted on it, in an envelope, add the 2 twinchies (unmounted), and send them to your partner. Got it? Mount 8 inchies on a 4 by 6 background. Send 2 twinchies unmounted. The fun part is not to create the inchies one by one, but to do a whole 4 by 4 paper, THEN to cut it. It's interesting how the original design or picture gets broken up by cutting it. |
