Frida-licious Mixed Media Canvasboard

Inspired by our own Alphenstamp (see her canvasboard collage above), here's an INTERNATIONAL swap to help you bring out your inner Frida.

THE SWAP We'll each start with a medium-sized canvas board (try to find an 8x8" canvas board - if you can't find that, use an 8x10" or be really creative and put four 4x4" boards together!) and make it super-Frida-tastic! .

Use as few or as many mediums as you like - acrylics, collage, assemblage - you can even build out from the canvasboard! Interpret Frida-ness however you wish - just give your piece some color and texture that would make Her proud.

Be sure that your partner will be able to hang or display the work 'out of the box' (add a hanger or frame your piece).

THE RULES

• All group members are eligible to participate in this swap.

• Members may be dropped if valid complaints of "swap abuse" are received (incomplete swaps, "bad swapper," unresolved 1's & 3's, recent no-sends, you know, that kind of stuff...). Member will be contacted before being dropped from this swap.

• Members should contact swap coordinator if they suspect "swap abuse" (the situation will be reviewed in a drama-free way, and your information kept anonymous).
