You can't send postcards that aren't flat, and the eyes will come off in handling. They really should be sent in an envelope.

The only way you could do this is by drawing your own googly eyes on the postcard.

Ok I will change it to with an envelope.

This sounds like fun but I'll be out of the country and away from the computer this whole time (sign ups to send offs) :(

FYI: You CAN actually mail postcards that aren't flat - I do it all the time. And if you glue them with a good glue - I use crazy glue or gel medium - and then I seal it in mod podge (the whole thing). It mails and sends just fine all over (unless it gets really beaten up while sending). Doesn't even cost extra for postage.

I just wanted to let you know that you used to be able to buy postcards like this and they could be mailed with out an envelope just fine!

I loooove making googly eye postcards and have also had good luck letting them go through the mail au naturale - good glue is the key. To be safe, I usually use 47-cents US postage: 27-cents postcard postage + 20-cent non-machinable surcharge for thick or stiff or lumpy things. I wouldn't be at all surprised if they'd just go through with 27-cents, tho.

So I took my postcards to the post office and .47 is the right amount if you want it hand stamped, the lady said if you don't want to go into the post office or put it in your mail box to have your mail carrier pick it up just write "Hand Stamp" on the postcard.
