This is so much fun and after the feather is painted you have a cool piece of art that you can tuck into a hat (fedora maybe), attach to a purse or bag, make it part of a mixed media piece, lots of ideas. I also like to attach them to dream catchers I've made and they look so pretty. You need one fake white goose feather or a similar sized fake white feather if you cant find a fake goose feather. Fake craft Feathers are usually sold in the Feather Boas section of craft stores. Walmart & school supply stores usually have them too. As well as a fine tip paintbrush, and some acrylic paints. Start painting your white feather and just have fun, don't worry about the colors you choose bleeding into each other a bit as you add new lines of color, it makes a nice blended look afterwards. One Feather to One Partner. Sender picks color and design. This is light to ship so postage should be pretty cheap. Just make sure you pack your feather so it wont get bent or damaged. Sandwich it between some cardstock or thin cardboard to keep it flat while its traveling thru the mail. Type in Painted Feathers on Pinterest if you want to get some inspiration or Google. 4.98 to join, I always check carefully before assigning partners. |
