Description:

One of the recent group swaps we have done was a complete nature journal. I am really enjoying making it, but I know that people are hesitant to send a complete journal. The postage for most people is stupidly high, and the thought of a complete journal getting lost in the post is scary (I am trying not to terrify myself here!) So, I am going to run a series of swaps for a themed journal page. That reduces postage cost, and you are never at risk of losing your precious journal, you are only ever risking one page! The page you are going to make should be approximately A5 size (15x21cm, 5.8x8.3 inches) this does not have to be exact, but it should not be much smaller. By specifying a size it means we all end up with a series of pages that we can either add to an existing journal, or make one just for these swaps.

How you produce the page is completely up to you - you could paint, draw, use digital images, magazine clippings, use stickers (minimal), collage, or a combination of all! The pages can have embellishments added, charms or dangles attached, fibres used, pockets added etc.

Finally, make sure your journal page is packaged securely, and post it off! It is a good idea to use a card backed envelope, or pop a piece of card in the envelope to make sure it does not get screwed up.

The theme for this swap is Butterflies. This is open to your interpretation. It could be one butterfly, or many. If you have any suggestions/requests for future pages please let me know. It could be anything from the length and breadth of the natural world!. I think I have covered everything, but any questions please comment below or PM me.

I check participants on an ongoing basis, and do a final check prior to assigning partners. If you have any unaddressed low ratings, or you have any late swaps on your dash, you will be removed from the swap
