Description:

Hello there and welcome to our first ever "A Thousand Words" swap! I thought this would be the perfect time for a "getting to know you" swap.

For this swap, you will choose 3-5 photos that give your partner a bit of insight into who you are. Photos can be of anything but the people in your life. (After all, that makes the swap way too easy for some of us). However, if you're a wife or mom or sister or daughter and that is "essential" to who you are, you may include something symbolic of that title or role.

After you've selected the photos, weave a letter to your partner around the photos, telling a little about yourself, your life, your loves, your passions.

The photos may be enclosed as part of the letter (make sure to use a higher grade of paper) or they may be enclosed separately. Sender's choice.

As per our group standards, the photos must be printed professionally or with a high quality printer on high quality photo paper. If your photos are integrated with the letter, use a brochure or flyer paper, which are developed with images in mind.

If permitted, I would like to ask for my photos to be separate from the letter only because I use them in art journals and I already have an awesome page thought out for this swap. So, so excited about this group!

If I am paired with you I'll be happy to do that for you. :-) I'm sure Nnyla would, too.

@midteacher of course!

I put my swap in the mail box in front of the post office today; however, they will be closed for Columbus Day tomorrow. That means the swap won't be postmarked until the 14th!

@Castlequeen Problem solved. Forgot Oct 13 is a federal holiday. Changed send date to Oct 14 to make sure no one gets marked as a "late send."

Yay! Just noticed it too! Thanks, Nnyla!

Ditto what Castlequeen said. :-)
