Beginning Zentangle Deco Swap Round 7 USA only swap, to keep postage manageable. Feel free to host an International version! Simply copy the first round and paste it, changing the information to show a different host.

Zentangle, or Tangling, is a drawing form of meditation in which one focuses attention on the one line being drawn right then. It is always fun, and there is no such thing as a mistake. Beginning tanglers are welcome, as are more experienced tanglers.

This is a continuation of an earlier swap, but it is open to everyone who wants to create a Zentangle Deco Book and join in the fun. If you are joining this swap for the first time, there is a bit more info in the posting for the first round: http://www.swap-bot.com/swap/show/168072. It is NOT too late to join this swap for the first time!

When you receive your incoming Zentangle Deco, please complete one tile-sized Zentangle in the book you received. It will continue it's journey in this round. It is also okay to do a tile sized Zentangle ahead of time, to put on your page in the book when it arrives.

If this is completely new to you, tanglepatterns.com and zentangle.com are great sources. There are some really wonderful books available, if you want to start learning. Try your library. I will run another swap after this series, so you can join that one as well. I'm having a great time with these swaps.

PLEASE don't join if you can't complete the swap. If life happens and you are late, please notify your assigned partner and me! I will angel if need be. I hope nobody makes that necessary.

This is a swap for Zentangle 'newbies'. You will still need to have been rated for at least 5 Swap-bot swaps, either Type 2 and/or Type 3 You must have a filled out profile. I will be looking at each one. Minimum rating will be 4.95 I will remove from the swap anyone who has unresolved 1s, or 3s. If you don't meet the swap requirements, message me and perhaps we can do a private swap. Once everyone has marked SENT, I will post another round.

Zentangle, or Tangling, is a drawing form of meditation in which one focuses attention on the one line being drawn right then. It is always fun, and there is no such thing as a mistake. Beginning tanglers are welcome, as are more experienced tanglers. This will be a series of swaps.

For this swap, you will make a Deco book of at least six (6) pages. the book should be large enough to draw a 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" tangle on each page, with a bit of room left for signature and contact information. My books are 4" x 4 1/2 " You can start making your books now. Pages can be stapled, sewn, tied with string or yarn. I make mine by cutting 9x12 paper into 4" x 9" strips, folding three over, making three little holes along the fold, and tying with string or whatever is convenient. For more information on making deco books try: http://www.ehow.com/how7458496make-deco-book.html

Then, do a Tangle of standard size, 3 1/2" x 3 1/2", on the front. Put your name, address and swap-bot name on it, so the last person to tangle in it can return it to you. Use as many or as few patterns as you like. It's your space. Shade or not, color or not, it's up to you!

Please rate your partners each round. A five is earned if you receive a swap, hearts as you wish. If Your swap is delayed, contact your partner AND me, via Swap-bot; then get it moving as soon as possible!

Questions? please contact me. Once most swappers have marked SENT, I will post another round.

So, even though this is Round 7, and the first round started last February, you can still make a new blank Deco book with 6 pages and decorate the front page? Is a page a front and back, or is a front and back 2 pages?

StarMouse 07/26/2014 #

@graciepie49 You will decorate the front page, a page is one side of a piece of paper. depending on the book and your own judgment, you may use one side or facing pages. Return info is usually on the back cover.

????????????? I'm going to make a brand new deco book, decorate the cover with a zentangle, put my return info on the back, and send it to StarMouse. I'm going to receive a deco book from CarlaDMG, and draw a zentangle on one page of the book. THEN WHAT???? I'm really confused about how this works.

@graciepie49 I hope we have that cleared up. You always send the one you receive and then decorate out in the swap after the swap in which you receive it!
