Description:

Postage keeps increasing, so I am going to repeat this set of swaps in which we will swap pages for a junk journal. There will be at least five swaps. Each swap will ask for five items. At the end, we can each build our own junk journals or do whatever we'd like with the pages we've received.

For swap #1:

  • Send five different folded pages. The pages should be between 4" x 6" and 6" X 9" after being folded. We are sending folded pages so that your partner can either sew the book together in the fold or cut the pages apart and use rings, etc., to bind the book. The pages do not have to be the same size, and could even be five different sizes. Size is up to the sender.

  • The pages should be undecorated. We'll leave the decorating to your partner.

  • Each page should have lines, grids, or a pattern. Each of the five must be a different paper. Papers can be varied weights. Pages can be vintage or new. The only type of paper you can't use is scrapbook paper.

This sounds like a great swap with lots of potential! For clarity's sake, you're asking for is basically prepped pages, right? And that in the end, instead of having sent a whole book, we'll have lots of pieces to make one?

The folded part is to help keep the size and therefore postage, down? (As opposed to folded pages being a requirement of a Smash book page, yes?)

@Tryph - the pages should be totally unprepared. All of the ornamentation will be done by the receiver. The folds are so that those who want to bind their book by sewing it can do so. Those who want to use rings, a Bind-it-all or something like that can cut the pages open if they wish.

I edited the swap to make this clearer (I hope).

Was R1 the same requirements? I am just curious since I missed it. :)

Yes, Round 1 had basically the same requirements.
