Description:

Red, White, and Blue(berry) Swap USA-only

For this swap, you will send the following items to your swap partner in a business-sized envelope:

  • a bag of red tea;
  • a bag of white tea;
  • a bag of berry-flavored tea, preferably blueberry;
  • one tried and tested recipe for a vegetarian/vegan picnic salad that you enjoy making; and
  • a friendly note so that your partner can rate you and/or reciprocate by sending you a recipe.

There should be no overlap in your teas. You should send three different bags of tea. Please send bagged tea, not the tea drink mixes.

Please look at your swap partner’s profile to see if s/he adheres to any specific diet or lifestyle (Kosher/Halal/gluten-free/etc.) or has any allergies and PLEASE, honor that when considering the recipe to send. Think beyond coleslaw and potato salad! It’s OK to send a recipe with out precise measurements if there is something you’ve been making so very long you do it all to taste and sight. Making salads and dressings isn’t particularly difficult and there is some eye-balling that can go on when making pasta or fruit salads, particularly when garnishing them! You may, however, wish to put some guidelines in if, for example, a vinaigrette is involved as a dressing base. Your partner may not know how to make one, and they might like to learn instead of always using Newman’s Own.

Please note: gelatin is NOT a vegetarian-friendly food.

You should be able to send these items without additional postage, but that depends, naturally, on the packaging for the tea. Please weigh the envelope before sending to alleviate any insufficient postage expenses for your swap partner.

Anyone in the USA or APO/FPO is welcome to participate.

No one with any no-sends in the past three months.

If you are new to swapping, be certain to understand your obligations before signing up for this swap. If you cannot meet the conditions of this swap, please choose another swap. An integral part of this swap is the underlying theme. It’s been set up so that, if you send before the send date, it should reach your partner BEFORE all those holiday picnics. No one likes to be left out. Please send your package on time.

Enjoy!

p.s. please be patient ... this is my first time to host a swap-bot.com swap!

Yay! Thanks to everyone who is ready to play! I'm going to keep this open 'til the very last minute to allow anyone who wishes to participate the opportunity to sign up. Where you at Hawaii and Guam swappers?!

This will be a lot of great fun!
