Description: | |
Hi All! With the Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year and related holidays over now, it's time for a little relaxation and reflection. This swap is two fold. The first part is to search for several images that give you a sense of 'transcendence' when you view them, whether that be peace, serenity, energy, or a feeling of being light and free, however you define 'transcendence' for yourself. The focus is to be on landscapes for this swap. The second part is to share these images with your partners (3), along with a brief (or not so brief) explanation of why you find the particular images you're sharing reflective of transcendence. I intend to do more of this kind of swap in the future, as well. We'll be exploring and sharing through images and writing what transcendence means to us. We may share images found in paintings, sculpture, photos and other art forms. We may also share what type of scents, sounds, and tactile experiences give us the feeling of transcendence. These will be electronic swaps so that they are not time or energy intensive. Yet we will be able to share a great deal with one another. Everyone in this group is invited and encouraged to participate. To review this swap: 1. Search for images of landscapes or a part of a landscape that gives you a sense of transcendence. 2. You will each have 3 partners. 3. Select 2 or 3 images to send to each partner on their profile page in the comments section. You can send the same images to each of your partners, or you can choose to send different images to each partner - your choice. 4. Write a little something about why you find the images reflective of transcendence. 5. Rate your partner as soon as you receive their swap. I will angel but do not foresee the need for it with this group of people. To share images on each other's profiles type the following into the comments box in the right column: ! [ ] ( URL of the image ) Do not use spaces between the letters, numbers and punctuation, though. If you happen to be as inexperienced doing this as I was, you can find the URL for an image by right clicking your PC mouse over the image and selecting "Copy image URL". Then paste that between the parentheses. I know, I'm slow at this stuff. But it's so exciting for me when it finally works! As you can tell, I'm pretty easy to please. ;-) I hope to have the opportunity of sharing with each of you as these swaps go on! |
