Let's all keep those lovely Craft Journals moving. For anyone new, this travelling journal swap is especially for crafters with the idea being to finally get back a journal filled with crafting projects from all over the world. What is this journal going to be filled with? Each person is going to add instructions or a pattern for a craft project to the journal. It can either be for a craft that the journal owner loves, (which you will find out from inside the front cover, or you can also check their profile). Or, it can be a project you love and you want to share. You can add pictures if you want. You can hand write it or stick it in, but you need to make sure you take up at least 2 pages. You can use more - up to 5 - if you need. Also, if the project is flat, you can make an example and tuck it into the envelope or pocket at the back of the journal, although this is not compulsory. Just ensure you add your name, so the owner knows who is from. You can, of course add more than one project if you wish. For anyone new to the swap You need to buy or make a pocket-size journal (sizes approximately 13x20cm or 5x8inch). It needs to have 15 to 50 pages. You should write your address and your Swap-Bot username on the inside of the front cover, or on the front of the first page. You also need to write what your favourite crafts are. On the back page, make a pocket or stick in an envelope. Then send it to your partner. For people in the previous round Using 2 to 5 pages, add instructions for a craft project or projects into the journal you hold. If necessary, mention the source. Add your username and the date to the project. Feel free to add pictures, photos or any other forms of art to make the journal a pleasure to look at. Then send the journal on to your partner. Ratings If you receive a journal from someone new to the swap, it is fine if it is empty. However, if you receive a journal from someone who is in the previous round, you need to check that they have added instructions for a craft project/s before you rate them a 5. And finally If you decide to drop out of this series of swaps at any stage, kindly let the journal owner know and return the journal to him/her. I will angel for anyone who doesn't receive a journal after you have rated a 1. |
