Description: | |
Second in a series of monthly drabble/ficlet swaps to encourage the writers among us to write some slash. The idea is taken from one of my favorite LiveJournal communities, Flash Slash, which hasn't been active in a while. I will post two sets of prompt words choose one of the sets. You will have exactly eight minutes to write a drabble or ficlet that uses all four of the words in that set. You are welcome to spend one or two extra minutes editing or polishing your piece. Be sure to add a header with the piece's title, rating, fandom, pairing, which set you chose, and any warnings. Then send your piece to swap partner via email. You can also post it on the forum in the "Got 8 Minutes to Spare?" discussion thread, so everyone can read your piece. You may post your piece elsewhere if you wish (such as an archive or your own site), you can consider it the start of something longer, or you can just consider this a fun exercise!.
Additional clarifications: you can use any form of the words (if one of the words is "run" you could use the word "running" or "ran") however, if the word is "pat" you cannot use the word "spat" as that is a completely different word, not a form of the original). Please rate your partner a 5 if you receive a piece that uses all four words of one of the sets. This swap is to give you some fun writing, so the fandom and pairing is the writer's choice (but if you want to find out what fandoms your partner has, you're welcome to ask or check out the forum). Feel free to give each other feedback on your pieces. Remember, you only get eight minutes to write. Let's see what you can come up with! |
