New here.... I would love to join but have a question or 2! Are we to send a christmas card or any card and can it be handmade or does it have to be store bought?! Thanks

@inspiredbykitty The addresses are automated by swapbot after the sign up date has passed. The host of the swap - in this case @bebeboo - will click to assign partners, but she has no say over who gets whom for a partner.

@saramomof3 Yes, it is a Christmas card swap and the swap doesn't specify bought or handmade. Usually people prefer bought unless the swap says differently. That is because not everyone likes handmade things. But you can't get marked down for sending handmade on this swap, as it isn't in the rules. However, if the receiver thinks it is an inferior quality, they may mark you down. some people can be fussy.

For both of you newbies - If you send little extras (maybe a few stickers, or a bookmark, or something like that) you can be awarded a heart. Again, some people are stingey with awarding hearts and some are generous.

@saramomof3 , I have sent you an invite to Newbie Helpers ( @inspiredbykitty has already joined. :) ). There is a lot of good info there on how swaps work, what kinds of things to look for to protect yourself from flakers, and how to do ratings. Welcome to SB!

Thank you guys for answering questions for me! And yes, only store bought cards. I've now amended that on the swap to clarify. Have fun everyone! Ps: that's right, a little extra to send doesn't hurt or maybe decorating the envelope nicely helps too!
