For this swap you will make one fabricky postcard for one partner using the following guidelines:
Overall dimensions of the card must 5"x7" (12.7cm x 17.78cm) or smaller.
The majority of the front of the card must use fabric in some fashion.
You can use any sewing or quilting technique as long as you use some sort of stiffener or interface between the front and the back so that the postcard is sturdy enough to be mailed. You can also use any type of glue or adhesive to attach the fabric to something sturdy like a cereal box or thin cardboard.
You can use any type of fabric you like. This swap is not for simply sending something covered in a single layer of fabric. Create a design or make some sort of artwork. You can add other elements besides just fabric, but do not cover or seal your card with anything so the fabric can be felt. Be careful that you do not add too much thickness or bulkiness as you won't be able to mail your fabricky postcard using the postcard rate. Also, 3-D embellishments are allowed, just keep in mind you may have to pay more for postage. It is highly encouraged to take your piece of art to a counter clerk to ensure the right amount of postage is applied.
On the back of the card write the name of this swap, your username, and a nice message to your partner with a few lines. Of course make sure the 'send to' information is filled out correctly and legibly. The back can be made of paper or fabric, just make sure it can withstand being mailed.
Open to all upstanding members of CQ. I will angel for you provided you have rated your partner a 1.
