Description:

I love Collaborative zines. I have hosted a few on this site and have thoroughly enjoyed the experience!!! For this zine I would like to try something different. You will have up to 3 partners (hopefully at least that many sign up). This zine will be a postcard zine. It will end up being a 4x6 inch sized zine. You will mail each of your partners a 4x6 sized postcard (sent naked!!!) WITH THE PICTURE HAVING TO DO WITH THEIR CHOSEN THEME with writing on the back (next to the mailing address) telling them about whatever theme they have chosen.

So..... here's what you do:

1-Join the swap!!!

2- Decide what picture/design you want the postcards you receive to have on the front and write about on their postcard. (you must be o.k. with a handmade postcard in case you pick a topic that is hard to find as a storebought postcard)

3- In the comments below tell us the theme you have chosen (ex. Poems, Quotes, Recipes, Favorite Vacation spot)

4-When partners are assigned you have 3 weeks to get up to 6 postcards bought, made, written on, addressed, stamped and mailed. POSTCARDS NEED TO BE AS CLOSE TO 4X6 INCHES AS POSSIBLE. DON'T SEND ANYTHING TOO MUCH LARGER OR TOO MUCH SMALLER.

5- When you receive all your postcards in the mail you can:

1- Tape all the fronts together with a cover and make an accordion album zine

OR

2- Tape two together, making 3 stacks of two, and then stack them and add a cover measuring 4x12 and staple. (I will send a few photos of how to do this after partners are assigned). YOU WILL DESIGN YOUR OWN COVER.

6- Any questions..... please ask!!!!

I'm really interested in India lately. Anything that has to do with that country. Maps, touristy stuff, culture, whatever. Thanks!

Last time it was okay to do Zazzle for those hard topic swaps. Still okay to do that?

The Beauty of Autumn: My goal is to make this the first in a series. I am looking for beauty, inspiration, and the wonder of the season. NOTES: If you can draw or are good at painting I would love a handmade PC! I am requesting no Halloween or religious type PC’s

@midteacher Yes! Cards may be zazzle or handmade or storebought. Just as long as they fit the topic assigned by each partner. :)

For my topic: I am crazy about the PBS/BBC TV miniseries Downton Abbey. I would love a postcard with anything about or from that show (the characters, the house, scenes from the show, anything!). If you aren't familiar with the show Google it. It's really popular right now. On the address side of your postcard please share a quote from the show. Here is a website with many quotes from the show- http://www.downtonabbeyquotes.com/

My theme this time will be HALLOWEEN. Let me know if you do anything special at your house (decor) and what your dream costume would be.

To any of you who are watching this swap: please consider joining! I had a blast for the first round as did the other participants. It's not hard to find the stuff to either make or buy the PC for that person's theme. Come and join the fun!!!!!
