Description:

I absolutely love my paper bag book from a previous swap! They are really not hard to make and can be quite beautiful! So..

Let's make our partners one paper bag book (journal) for their own art journaling, doodling, etc.

The books should : -- have a front and back cover made from chipboard, reinforced paper bags or some other sturdy materials.

-- have a minimum of 4 bags folded to make the inside pages

-- be bound together in what ever way you like to use (sewing, gluing, decorative tape, etc. ) that will hold up.

-- have decorated/embellished pages (think paints and inks, pretty paper scraps and ephemera, etc.), but also have space for their new owners to put their own art or keepsakes or thoughts on as well.

I am not going to make this profile specific so we can get working on these right away, but maybe check your partner's profile for particular dislikes. It would be a shame to find out the lovely journal you just sent out in Autumn shades went to someone who hates fall colours!! That being said, please post any absolute "No's" in the comments section please!

I am making the send by date pretty far out as I am out straight with school and work right now and I imagine many of you are/ will be as well!

If anyone has a link to a tutorial they want to include, feel free!

PS Yes, this is the same swap I am hosting in another group also! Nobody has joined that swap yet so I hope to get some swappers signing up here! I have lots of paper bags ready to go! :D

I'm watching this swap for now but really want to join! BUT . . . I need more info. When you say 'paper bag,' do you mean a lunch bag? a grocery bag? Are there any dimension guidelines? Thanks!

To clarify: Lunch bag sized paper bags. Very lightweight and not very big. :) These are easy to work with and will not be expensive to mail. :D
