Thimble Swap!

I collect thimbles! Do you?

I love to travel...and when I do, I never come back empty-handed. 2 items I always come home with are shot glasses and thimbles! Those are my main collections.

Thimbles are a fun little souvenir to have. I probably have at least 15 in my collection...from all different places!

So, I thought it would be great to have a thimble swap! Since this could be fun, I am making this an international swap.

The way it works is, each person will have a total of 2 swap partners that they will send to. Therefore, each participant must purchase a total of 2 thimbles- 1 for each partner.

Thimbles are pretty inexpensive....I believe most are somewhere along the lines of $2.50 to $5.00 USD. Obviously, there are more elaborate thimbles out there, but let's try to stay away from those in order to keep things fair. I don't think people should be spending more that $10 to $15 USD for both thimbles combined.

From what I've seen and collected, most thimbles tend to be Regional...depicting a picture of the area they're from, as well as usually the name. I'm sure there's other thimbles possibly with another theme out there, but since we're making this an international swap, let's keep it regional. Usually you can find thimbles in little gift shops or souvenir shops. But please make sure you can find them in your city before you sign up for this swap, as they can sometimes be tricky to find!

And, an added benefit....little item to be shipped means cheaper shipping costs!! =)

Please include a note in your package including your name, your screen name, where you're from, and why you chose that thimble.

Also, since many thimbles are made out of breakable materials such as porcelain, please take care when packaging your thimbles for shipping.

Swappers with any recent no-sends, or a rating of less than 3.5 will be banned.

When rating your partners...if you received a thimble and a note, you need to give a 5 star rating. If they include anything special, or you just really love your thimbles, then give them a heart! :) Or even just if you want to!
