Description:

Take a purchased notecard and alter it by adding some hand stitching to it.

"Hand stitching" can be sewing a straight line or outline, embroidery, cross stitch, etc. as long as the stitches penetrate to the back of the card front (no gluing of stitch work is allowed).

Maybe outline an object or add a border or even add an object. Your choice.

For example, on this card the flower stems have been stitched:

Any other embellishment is up to the sender as long as there is at least 3"/7.5 cm of hand stitching on it (so sewing on a button, for example, would not count).

Make sure to cover the back of the stitching with a piece of card stock.

Inside, write a friendly note to your partner (more than just a couple of sentences) about whatever you like.

Have fun!

[Next time we'll make a hand stitched card from scratch.]
